Kim Agramon-Bai, AMFT

Hi, I’m Kim Agramon-Bai, and I would love to support you as you make sense of who you are while carrying the weight of relationships, expectations, life transitions, grief, and identity. You may find yourself feeling caught between different worlds—cultures, responsibilities, roles, and shifting versions of yourself—trying to hold it all together while quietly wondering where you fit. In our work together, we'll slow things down and create space for your experiences to be truly seen and understood. I offer therapy in both English and Tagalog.

I understand that finding someone to open yourself up to can feel vulnerable and overwhelming, so I’ve answered some questions below to give you a glimpse of who I am and what it might feel like to work together. My hope is that this helps you feel more supported, informed, and empowered as you decide what feels right for you.

What am I like as a therapist?
My approach is warm, caring, and culturally-sensitive—and I really value getting to know you deeply: where the pain is, where the strength lives, and the human details that make you, you. To me, therapy is a relationship, not a formula. I offer a space where you can show up fully as yourself, grow at your own pace, and feel genuinely accompanied through the process.

As someone who has personally experienced the healing this work can offer, I’m deeply passionate about walking alongside you as you discover your own sense of relief, clarity, and connection. I am committed to helping you see what it can look like to invest in yourself—to make space for your healing, your growth, and your becoming—in a way that feels grounded, supported, and true to you.

What is my training?
My training started with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, followed by a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with an emphasis in Medical Family Therapy. I am certified in Restoration Therapy (Level 1) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and have specialized training in Play, Art, and Expressive therapies. I also draw from CBT, Narrative Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Internal Family Systems (parts work), Structural Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.

Who are my typical clients?
I work with teens, young adults, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, identity, grief, life transitions, and relational wounds. Many of my clients come in feeling unseen or unknown and are exhausted from adapting and performing, quietly grieving parts of themselves that haven't been fully allowed to exist.

I especially welcome Filipinos, Filipino-Americans, Asian/Asian Americans, BIPOC individuals, first-generation and second-generation immigrants, and interracial couples.

I also have a focus in working with athletes who are navigating performance pressure, injury, burnout, identity beyond sport, career transitions, or the grief of dreams that unfolded differently than hoped.

What are the next steps to work with me?
Finding someone you can trust with your story is a journey in itself, and I’d love to begin there with you. I offer a free 30-minute consultation so you can get a sense of whether we are a good fit. If it turns out you may need a different kind of support, I will also gladly provide you with a list of therapists I trust.

Where am I located? I see clients in Pasadena, CA and can provide Telehealth services throughout California.
