Megan Sbrana, LMFT

Hi, I’m Megan, and I’m passionate about helping teens and young adults feel more confident, connected, and at peace with themselves. I know how overwhelming it can feel to manage anxiety, self-doubt, and the many pressures of school, relationships, and growing up. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you can slow down, make sense of your emotions, and build the tools to move forward with clarity and self-compassion.

I believe that good therapy begins with a genuine connection, so I’ve shared a bit more below to help you decide if we’d be a good fit.

What am I like as a therapist?
My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative. I take time to understand who you are and what matters most to you. In our sessions, I help you explore underlying patterns and emotions while offering practical strategies for coping, communication, and growth. Clients describe me as steady, attuned, and easy to talk to — someone who can help you feel seen and supported while also challenging you to make meaningful change.

What is my training?
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with specialized experience working with teens and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, self-harm, relationship stress, and identity exploration. I draw from approaches such as Person Centered Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) to support relational healing and balance. I hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary, with an emphasis in Medical Family Therapy.

Who are my typical clients?
Many of my clients are figuring out who they are and how to manage the expectations and emotions that come with life transitions. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, we’ll work together to build insight, strengthen coping tools, and develop a deeper sense of self.

What are the next steps to work with me?
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to do it alone. I offer free 30-minute consultations so you can ask questions, get a sense of my approach, and see if I’m the right fit for you.

Where am I located? I see clients in-person in Pasadena, CA and can provide Telehealth services throughout California.
